MIT Hillel's Israel Initiative gives Jewish students a personal connection with the land of Israel and the State of Israel and provides members of the MIT community with basic information and understanding around the history of Zionism and Israel, along with exposure to the Israeli perspective on today's crisis. The Israel Initiative enlivens the on-campus discussion about Israel and the Middle East; reaches out to Jews and non-Jews who are indifferent or ignorant about Israel; and offers information, support, and training.
