Demand Histogram
home2008 Graduate Housing Allocation Entries

How to read these charts
Each link below connects to a page that displays information for that allocation in 3 graphs, with associated charts of the actual numbers.

The first graph contains data representing the number of beds we expect to make available to each Allocation type, based on last years numbers and changes to the policies this year.

The second graph indicates the current demand for each room type. Our scripts counted how many people ranked each room type as their first, second, third and fourth choices and plotted this information as a graph.

The third graph is a combination of the first two. It is a "normalized" graph. In other words, we took the actual demand for each room type from the second graph, and divided it by the number of predicted beds available, to give you the number of applicants per bed available.

Charts last updated on Wednesday, May 20, 2008. With final lottery preferences.
