A warm welcome from the housemasters of Macgregor House!
Beautiful views of the Charles River, hanging out in the courtyard, cooking
dinner with friends, these are some of the daily occurrences at MacGregor
House. Our dorm is organized into small suites in which practically every
individual has their own room. Several suites form an entry - and each
with its own personality. We have an intimate community setting and private
space as well. The House boasts a strong Student Government that organizes
social activities and provides various services that benefit the quality
of life of the residents.
The
House Residence Team is made up of the Housemasters (Prof. Munzer Dahleh,
Prof. Jinane Aboudi) and the Associate Housemaster (David Singer and Steve Bertone), nine Graduate Resident Tutors (GRTs), and our
House Manager (Mr. Bob Ramsay). As faculty members living in the dorm
with their spouses, the Housemaster team is able to provide support
to individual students, groups, and GRTs, in order to make MacGregor
a good experience for everyone. We sponsor dinner and study break gatherings,
as well as other educational events throughout the year.
Munzer
is a professor in the departments of Electrical Engineering and Computer
Science (Course VI). Jinane is a lecturer in the department of Electrical
Engineering and Computer Science (Course VI). Munzer and Jinane have
3 children who love to engage in long conversations with the residents.
MacGregor is our home, and we truly enjoy it. The students who live here are wonderful and
we enjoy our daily interactions with them. We hope you join us in our
wonderful community.
