    A warm welcome from the housemasters of Macgregor House!

    Beautiful views of the Charles River, an intimate courtyard, a well equipped gym, and comfortable common spaces with kitchens—these are some of the defining features of MacGregor House. Our residence hall is organized into small suites in which practically every individual has his/her own room. Several suites form an entry, and each entry has its own distinct personality. The House boasts a strong Student Government that organizes social activities and provides various services that enhance the quality of life of our residents.

    The House Residence Team is made up of the Housemasters (Prof. Munther Dahleh, Dr. Jinane Aboudi) and the Associate Housemasters (Prof. David Singer and Mr. Steve Bertone), nine Graduate Resident Tutors (GRTs), members of the house government, and our House Manager (Mr. Bob Ramsay). The housemasters and associate housemasters, as faculty members and professionals with a range of experiences, provide guidance and support to individual students, the student government, and GRTs. We sponsor dinners, brunches, and study break gatherings to get to know and interact with our students. We also have an extensive calendar of events that includes educational and entertainment programs throughout the year.

    Munther is a professor in the departments of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science (Course VI). Jinane is a Director of Customer Relations at ITA Software, a privately owned company in Cambridge. Munther and Jinane have 3 children who love to engage in long conversations with the residents.

    David is a professor in the department of Political Science (Course XVII), while Steve works in regulatory compliance for a bank in Boston.

    MacGregor is our home, and we truly enjoy it. The students who live here are wonderful and we enjoy our daily interactions with them. We hope you join us in our wonderful community.
