At MIT, you will find that a major source of information and help is the Human Resources Officer assigned to your department. HROs have detailed knowledge of the departments they are assigned to, as well as knowledge of MIT’s HR policies and practices. They are available to consult with employees and managers on any issue affecting work, including performance reviews, training, hiring practices, leaves of absence, compensation, and harassment or discrimination concerns.
