Step 1: November 15
Fellows receive email from MOR Associates with link to 360 respondent list.
Step 2: Between November 15 - 25
Fellows contact potential 360 raters to invite them to participate in 360 (see sample email).
Each Fellow should invite:
- Managers (one to three)
- All Direct Reports
- Peers/Colleagues (at least three)
- Others (at least three)
Step 3: By November 25
Fellows enter names of raters into 360 respondent list.
Step 4: On November 30
Fellows and raters receive email from MOR Associates with link to 360 survey.
Step 5: Between November 30 - December 21
Fellows and raters complete 360 survey.
Step 6: On December 15
Fellows and raters who have not yet completed 360 survey receive reminder email from MOR Associates.
Step 7: On Dec. 15
Fellows receive email from MOR Associates asking them to check in with their raters.
Note: this email does not include the status of raters’ responses due to potential impact on confidentiality.
Step 8: On December 21
MOR Associates closes 360 survey.
Step 9: On January 6
Fellows and Coaches receive 360 report from MOR Associates (as PDF attachment to email).
Step 10: Between January 9 - February 1
Fellows and Coaches meet to interpret results of 360 report.
Step 11: On February 8
Fellows share one leadership development goal at L2L workshop.
Sample Email: Invitation from Fellow to potential rater
I am participating in a professional development opportunity, the MIT Leader to Leader program. As part of this, I will be participating in a 360 survey for developmental purposes. I have been asked to provide the names of people with whom I work who are able to provide feedback on my capabilities. I have identified you as one of those people and I’m hoping you will be kind enough to respond to an invitation to an online survey that will be emailed to you around 11/30/2011 by MOR Associates, an outside consulting firm. This survey is administered by MOR Associates. I will not see individual responses.
Please note that the invitation will be sent from Rob Smyser at firstname.lastname@example.org. Please check your spam filters if you do not receive this on November 30th.
