Human Resources decided in the spring of 2005 to temporarily discontinue offering web-based training opportunities in leadership and management from Element K to the MIT community. We do intend to offer some form of e-learning in the future, but we plan to first explore a variety of options and coordinate our efforts with other groups at MIT that offer web-based training.
After June 30, 2005, previous account holders will no longer have access to Element K's leadership and management courses. Please note that this will have no impact on the web-based computer training with Element K that is offered through IS&T.
Although Element K's leadership and management courses will not be available to the MIT community after June 30, we encourage you to continue pursuing your professional development goals. You may consider these other resources:
- OED Learning Topics -- The OED Learning Topics offer articles, tools and resources that can help individuals and groups at MIT reach their goals effectively. The content of each topic is geared especially for members of the MIT community and includes basics about that topic as well as more advanced information.
- Performance Reviews -- A helpful resource for both managers and employees, this web-based guide was designed to provide information about performance reviews and on-going performance development. Managers will find useful information about preparing for and conducting performance review conversations on this site.
- MIT Training -- At this site, you can browse the catalog of classroom-based training courses offered to the MIT community and register for courses.
