Shai N. Gozani, MD 1994, PhD

President, CEO and Director, NEUROMetrix, Inc.

Research:
Dr. Gozani's research focuses in the areas of basic and clinical neurophysiology, biomedical engineering and computational chemistry.

Career Highlights:
Dr. Gozani founded NEUROMetrix in 1996, a company that develops innovative neurological diagnostic and therapeutic solutions that maximize quality of care and economic outcomes. The key elements of the Company's proprietary technology are:

  • Advanced biosensors that communicate bioelectrical signals between
  • Sophisticated bioelectronic instruments that interface with the biosensors and perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures
  • Biomedical signal processing, automation and analysis algorithms
  • Telemedicine system utilizing sophisticated information technology and expert system methodologies that maximize clinical utility
Prior to forming the company, Dr. Gozani completed a neurophysiology research fellowship in the laboratory of Dr. Gerald Fischbach at Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Gozani holds a BS degree in computer science, an M.S. degree in biomedical engineering, a PhD in neurobiology, from the University of California, Berkeley, and an MD from Harvard Medical School and the Harvard-MIT Division of Health Sciences and Technology.
