The 2007-2008 Ilona Karmel Writing Prizes Checklist
(for student's use only - please print out and complete in ink)
Please use this checklist to make sure your entry is complete. Incomplete entries will be disqualified.

Each entry must be submitted in duplicate with two identical and separable typed cover sheets which bear the

_____ title of submission

_____ local addresses
_____ telephone number and email
_____ major and class

The student's name must not appear on any page but the cover sheet. The cover sheet must be the first page of all entries and will be temporarily removed from the judges' copies to ensure the author's anonymity.

An individual may submit only one entry in each category within a particular competition.

______

A header or footer stating the title of the work and the page number is required on each page of the submission. In the case of poetry submissions, the collection as a whole should have a title as part of the header or footer.

All entries must be typed or printed on one side of the paper, from a word processor using 10 or 12 pitch or equivalent and proofread.

______

All entries are to be double-spaced with wide margins (1 inch minimum). Poems may be single-
or double-spaced.

______

Each entry should be stapled in the upper left corner, or, if twenty-five pages or more, placed in a binder.

______

A poetry entry to Ellen King Prize and Robert A. Boit Prize competitions must contain at least three poems.
