RICHARD RAJTER

Born in raised in a small town in upstate NY, Rick came to MIT
as an undergraduat in Materials Science and Engineering in 1999. Though rife
with injuries during his undergraduate years, Rick's determination led him
to such accomplishments as MVP of the indoor track team, leading season point
scorer 3 times and Indoor NE Div III Pentathlon Champion. He had the pleasure
of being captain his senior year along side of Sean Nolan '03 and National
Div III High Jump Runner Up Craig Mielcarz '03.
Rick graduated from MIT with a bachelors in 2003 and decided to continue his
education before making the leap into the working world. Rick is now in the
Ph.D program at MIT and is in his first year as assistant coach responsible
for jumps as well as working with hurdlers and multi-event athletes.
Rick has personal bests of 6' 6" in the high jump, 3419 points in the pentathlon, 44' 0" in the triple jump and hurdle times of 7.87 for the 55 meter HH and 14.88 in the 110 meter HH.
