To: All MIT Track and Field and Cross Country Alumni

The 6th annual postal meet competition is open. With the incredible success of the first three years, we have decided to keep this event to encourage MIT's Track and Field and Cross Country alumni to stay in touch with the program and their teammates.

This year there will be one "event," a 5 kilometer road race, with three divisions for both men and women: weight events, sprinters/hurdlers/jumpers, and distance runners. Each division will have separate 10 year age groups (20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, etc.) with awards to the top three in each age group in each division. Enter as often as you like. Only your best time will apply towards awards.

The window for competition is January 1 through December 31. Run in any local road race with a certified course during that period and submit your time. We will post intermediate results as they come in at http://mit.edu/hwtaylor/mtfxc/Alumni/postal2002.html. Results will be tabulated during December, distributed to participants along with awards. Enter as often as you like.
