Learn your way around the darkroom: how to develop film and print photographs. Bring exposed, unprocessed roll of black- and-white film to first class. Students supply camera, film, and paper. Non-class darkroom use included. Meets 2 times starting Saturday January 6.

Non-darkroom introduction to photography. The two Saturday sessions will cover the camera, film and shooting techniques. Bring camera, and either a roll of Ilford XP2 film or Kodak CN 400T (if you want to work with black & white), or a roll of color print film of your choice (if you want to work with color). Students supply camera, film and processing. Non-class darkroom use not included. Meets 2 times: Saturday, January 20th and 27th.

This course allows people of all abilities to use the human form to quickly and easily learn the fundamentals of drawing and illusion. A variety of medium will be used including pencil, charcoal, and pen and ink. Meets 4 times starting Tuesday January 9.

Explore color & design with Majolica. Majolica is a style of decoration imitating Chinese porcelain. The technique is to glaze earthenware/terracotta with an opaque white glaze. Students mix glazes and colorants. Meets 4 times.

Portraiture - Two Day Seminar

A two-day seminar designed to address issues of indoor and outdoor portraiture. Issues will be approached through visuals and demonstration before working with models. Students will shoot 35mm color slide film during the first session. Day two will feature group critique and discussion of issues resulting from shooting on day one. Open to all levels. All students must bring to first session a minimum of one roll each of: Ektachrome EPP 100 Plus, Ektachrome EPL 400x All students should have their film processed and ready for showing during the second session.
