Jeff Schiller, MIT's Network Manager, will discuss how the network works. He will describe the architecture of the network, how it is connected to the rest of the Internet, including our high speed connections to "Internet 2" and other high speed networks. Future plans and challenges faced as the network expands both in scope and in usage will also be discussed.
