The Philosophy of Star Trek
Roxanne Fay
No enrollment limit, no advance sign up
Participants welcome at individual sessions (series)

Does it matter if all your experiences are illusions fed into your brain by Talosians? If a transporter accident creates a duplicate of you, who are you? What do mischievous godlike aliens tell us about morality? What does a universal translator use to figure out what a sparkly, colorful cloud of gas is saying? Can a Klingon state be a just state? If Vulcans don't have emotions and desires, how can they act rationally? If you find questions like these compelling, join us to watch a different Star Trek episode each session and then discuss it with the real, not virtual, philosophers who will be present as your guides.
