This is an unusual opportunity for students to work with Melissa Edoh '02, List Foundation Fellowship Program recipient and members of MIT Rambax to learn and perform complex Senegalese rhythms. No prior drumming experience is required, just attendance at all sessions. Melissa has been studying under master drummer Lamine Toure in Cambridge, and also spent last summer in Senegal for intenstive study. Spaces limited--depending on the number of drums available, so sign up early. On Friday, January 31st, participants will perform in Killian Hall at 8pm.

This is an opportunity for students to learn the Art of Gumboot Dancing from skilled dancers and Melissa Edoh '02, List Foundation Fellowship Program recipient. Eight classes are followed by a performance on Friday, January 31st at 8pm in Killian Hall. This is cosponsored by the MIT African Students Association.
