MIT has received a grant from the Massachusetts Renewable Energy Trust to cost share 40 solar photovoltaic (PV) power systems installed on the MIT campus and on faculty and staff homes. This short course will introduce MIT faculty, staff and students to PV science and technology, energy and environmental policy issues, and the costs associated with PV power generation. This course will involve "hands-on" design and planning for an on-campus PV installation, and is co-sponsored by the MIT Department of Utilities.
