Why are there declining birth rates in contemporary Europe, Japan and the US? Mary Brinton, Margarita Estevez-Abe, Jytte Klausen, Anne McCants, and Martin Rein will discuss these issues. Co-sponsored by MISTI and Women's Studies. Organized by Pat Gercik, MISTI Associate Director, and Mit-Japan Program Director, Serenella Sferza, MIT-Italy Program Coordinator, and Elizabeth Wood, Director of the Program in Women's Studies and Professor in History.
