Performance Workshop: "The Bald Soprano"

Prereq: None, but enthusiasm and commitment are a must!

The goal of this THEATRE/ Performance Workshop is to introduce individuals to the process of producing a play, using "The Bald Soprano," by French playwright Eugene Ionesco. This will be a workshop setting, with different sessions focusing on text analysis, dramaturgy, acting techniques, improvisation exercises, and play rehearsals. The class will culminate with two performances (staged-readings) of the complete play on Friday, January 31st at 8pm, and Saturday, February 1st at 8pm. Sponsored by The MIT Community Players. A great opportunity for actors, dramaturges, techies, theatre enthusiasts. The workshop will be adapted to meet the artistic and scheduling needs of the participants.
