Have you ever finished a class wondering if what you're learning is actually worthwhile, not only to yourself but to others as well? Service learning combines targeted community service with academic class work, helping you to better understand course material and how it can be applied to benefit the world. Learn about this teaching method and the opportunities at MIT; then tell us what you think about it and how we can improve this initiative. Refreshments will be served.
