Interested in programming and designing online educational technology? Interested in LOTR? This DVD-based discussion class of "The Fellowship of the Ring" will test and modify a cutting-ege DVD annotation tool. You'll be introduced to basics of film criticism; brainstorm further development of an existing prototype of a Windows-based DVD annotation tool; hear weekly speakers; and make in-class presentations about some aspect of "The Fellowship of the Ring" using the new annotation technology. Access to Windows machine w/DVD player helpful, but not essential. Register with Ms. Lyons, say why you are interested, and whether you have a Windows machine w/DVD.
