The MIT Audit Division will present their understanding of Information Technology (IT) controls from an audit perspective. Maintaining adequate control over IT resources is becoming more complicated as well as essential. The Audit Division works in a consultative manner to help identify control concerns and provide solutions. Topics covered will include password controls, virus protection, network security, user ID administration, software licensing, change control, physical security, environmental controls, vulnerability assessments, backup and recovery and system development life cycle reviews. This session is for system administrators, programmers and anyone else with an interest in IT controls.
