LEAP (Lifetime Empowerment & Awareness Program) Self-Defense, Inc. provides both self-defense skills as well as a self-reflective component that focuses on keeping girls/women safe in their communities. The program teaches numerous physical self-defense techniques, safety and awareness skills, and builds confidence. Students will receive training in this course and become mentors ("Teaching Women") in Cambridge programs for girls aged 8-16. This course is directly linked to community service opportunities and will prepare MIT volunteers for spring Girls' LEAP programs.

Learn the basic movements of Tai Chi in a relaxed and comfortably paced class. This gentle form of exercise works on joint mobility, flexibility, coordination, and balance. The slow, fluid movements of Tai Chi will rejuvenate your body and engage your mind. Wear comfortable clothing and athletic shoes.
