Bicycle Commuting Skills and Winter Ride

Prereq: You must be able to balance and steer a bicycle.
Fee: 10.00 for Registration and Materials
This course teaches principles of traffic operation, cyclists’ rights and responsibilities under the law, and tips for biking more comfortably and safely in traffic and around MIT. It covers basic maintenance and bike fit and teaches winter riding skills. It is appropriate for people with little as well as advanced cycling experience.
Schedule: 9am – 12:30pm: Classroom session 1pm – 3pm: On-road practice ride (extreme weather conditions cancel the ride)
Requirements: o You must be able to balance and steer a bicycle. o Bring your own bike and helmet (even if you do not intend to participate in the ride portion of the class) o Dress warm for the ride.
