This class will provide a basic introduction to the sport of fly fishing. The primary focus will be on learning to cast, but there will also be information provided on equipment, stream craft, knots, and safety.

Introduction to Tying Saltwater Flies is a basic fly tying course that will show participants the methods for tying three of the most popular flies used for fly fishing in salt water: Lefty’s Deceiver; the Clouser Minnow; and Ray’s Fly. The basic techniques used can be transferred to tying a wide variety of flies.
