Interactive interdisciplinary workshops which focus on projects and practices on urban settlement issues in developing countries throughout the world. Participation by guest practitioners.
In 1969 four squatter communities were surveyed in Lima, Peru: Cueva, El Ermitano, El Agustino, and Mendocita. It is now 25+years after: What happened? How did they manage? SIGUS will go to Lima in January to revisit these four settlements and explore these questions.
Note: Student participants wishing to receive credit for their IAP work must register for 4.230J/11.468J in Spring 2005.
