Ballroom and Latin Dance Lessons

No enrollment limit, no advance sign up
Participants welcome at individual sessions (series)
Fee: 1.00 for offer refreshments during lesson

Have you ever wanted to learn the art of social dancing? Do you want to show your friends that you can salsa, waltz, swing, and cha-cha with the best of them? Now is the time! The MIT Ballroom Dance Club in conjunction with the MIT Ballroom Dance Team is offering introductory lessons for eight different dances (one dance each night). All you have to do is pick the lessons you want to attend, dress comfortably, and show up!

Waltz
Ballroom Dance Club
Waltz is a slow, graceful dance done to three beat music. It is a popular performance dance as well as an easy, enjoyable social dance.

Swing is an upbeat, fun dance that has developed a league of devoted followers. It can be danced to a wide variety of music and tempos.

American tango, a sultry dance developed with a latin flair, is a must for anyone who wishes to develop their Don Juan.

Cha-Cha
Ballroom Dance Club
Cha-cha, a flirtatious yet often forgotten latin dance, can be danced to anything from latin to hip-hop to pop music. This lesson is not to be missed.

Quickstep
Ballroom Dance Club
Quickstep is a fast dance, usually danced to the jazz music of the Big Band era. Though it is not the easiest of the ballroom dances, it is fun and rewarding. Come to our quickstep class, and you are sure to amaze your friends.
