Make your own photocollage!

Photocollages involve arranging a series of photographs of a single subject, often dozens of photographs, into a single, larger collage. They are simple to make, and are capable of capturing broader expanses of space and longer periods of time than individual photographs. This technique was originally explored by David Hockney in the 1980's.

At the first session, the basics of photocollages will be discussed and film/disposable cameras will be distributed so that each student can take his/her own pictures. Film and cameras should be returned by January 24th, to allow time for developing. At the second class session, each person's developed photos will be returned. Using these photos, along with other provided materials, each person will be able to make their own photocollage.
