How to Start a Small Business
Seth S. Kessler, Ph.D Metis Design Corporation
Thu Jan 26, 04-05:00pm, 56-114

No enrollment limit, no advance sign up

The Metis Design Corporation is a small technology firm founded by MIT alumni. After 6 years, 2 dozen employees and 8 figures in revenue, we have advice for those of you that want to be entrepreneurs in the post dot-com era. We’ll discuss topics ranging from what courses to take to knowing how much capital you need to start off. Where will you find your first contracts? Should you use VC or not? Do know who owns the intellectual property developed during your thesis? We want to help you decide if starting a small business is right for you, and if so, how to formulate one with staying power.
