Have you ever wondered what some students think about diversity at MIT? This is your chance to hear directly from 12 MIT students regarding their experiences and opinions. In summer 2005, a group of MIT students and staff assembled to create an engaging way for MIT upper class students to share thoughts about diversity with freshmen. The upper class students created a video featuring a wide-ranging dialogue about race, gender, ethnicity, religion, and sexual orientation, among other topics. The video was shown as part of Undergraduate Orientation and this is one of the first opportunities for the wider MIT community to view the video. We will show the video and provide a facilitated discussion for participants to talk about the themes covered. Video is 30 minutes long, followed by a discussion. Light refreshments provided.
