This series of three classes aim to introduce you to the Brazilian dance Samba de Gafieira. Samba de Gafieira is originally from Rio de Janeiro and is the partner version of the world-renowned Brazilian dance, Samba. It is unique in that it can be danced with all the other Samba styles and rhythms, such as Pagode, Bossa Nova, and Chorinho, making it dynamic and playful. It also utilizes steps that are similar in feel to Bolero and Argentine Tango. The classes are suitable for beginners - every week we will review the basic steps and then teach something new. No partner required.
