Olaf Bleck '89 (of SalsaBoston.com), in conjunction with MIT Salsa Club, will be teaching a four-session "Salsa for Gringos" Series. This series of salsa lessons is geared towards new dancers wishing to learn enough of the basics to confidently hit the dance floor. It's the perfect class for people with "two left feet", and a great way to meet people!

Each class will focus on a specific element of salsa dancing; taking the basic steps (how to plant your feet, keep your body aligned and balanced, and keeping on time); spinning technique (the elements of male and female turns, broken down muscle by muscle); leading and following technique (drilling the basics of timing leads and executing follows, collecting yourself after leading and executing a move); footwork technique (learning when to break away to express yourself and how to do it with flavor).
