Who are you? What's important to you? What motivates you? What gives your life meaning? There is PLENTY to DO at MIT, but not a lot of time to reflect on all the doing and listen to what we're learning about ourselves, our core
principles, and our deepest desires. This four-part series will give you a chance to slow down a bit, think through your experiences, and start the new year with greater self-awareness and clarity. A tasty vegetarian dinner will be
served, too!

14th Annual Charm School
Patrick Raymond, Tom Robinson
Fri Feb 2, 11:30am-05:00pm, Stratton Student Ctr

No enrollment limit, no advance sign up
Single session event

The first Charm School took place during IAP 1993, and with the exception of 1998, the program has been run annually. The popularity of the event has increased and interest on the part of students played a key role in bringing the program back. Students look forward to Charm School and take it seriously, although they have a good time while doing it. It has become a full-fledged community event with students, staff, and faculty participating together. Faculty often enjoy the event because it gives them an opportunity to interact with students in a different way than they do in the classroom.

The success of Charm School is due to many things: the energy and enthusiasm of the faculty, students, and administrators who participate, the festive atmosphere, and it's humorous and irreverent tone.

What’s an Event Registration? When do you start planning for your group’s big event? How do I pass on my event planning experience to future group members? If you (or your student organization) have ever asked yourself these questions, then Event Planning 101 is for you. The goals of this workshop are to help students: understand and navigate MIT in order to plan and implement successful events; plan events that are directly tied to the mission of goals of your organization; and be reflective of your groups past events in order to assist in leaving a proper legacy for future membership. This workshop is geared towards students who have beginning to intermediate event planning experience at MIT.
Please bring your lunch. Drinks & dessert will be provided.
