Why do some meetings engage participants and produce great results, while others drag, seem unfocused and unproductive? This class will provide basics plus advanced skills for running great meetings, and help you develop your meeting facilitation skills. Topics include: What are the different kinds of meetings? When do you need a meeting, and when should you solve your problem another way? Tools and techniques needed to run a meeting. Problems that crop up in meetings, and how to deal with them.
Taught by an experienced meeting facilitator and senior manager in IS&T, who has run productive meetings with diverse groups. This class is short on theory, long on practical advice and hand-on practice.
Depending on group interest and time availability, a third session may be offered to address special topics.
