Prereq: 8.287J-12.410J or some observational astronomy experience
Individual research projects in observational astronomy, using the 24-inch telescope at Wallace Astrophysical Observatory in Westford, MA. Projects will involve preliminary work for observing stellar occultations by Kuiper belt objects and stellar transits by extra-solar planets.

Come tour the heavens at MIT's George R. Wallace Jr. Astrophysical Observatory located 45 minutes northwest of Boston in Westford, MA. Use various telescopes from 14" to 24" for both visual observing and electronic imaging of Mars, Saturn, and other celestial bodies. Signup via listed website.
