Study by qualified students. Topics selected in consultation with the instructor.
If you soon will be working for an aerospace industry or government agency, expect to encounter their enterprise program for continuous improvement, i.e. Lean+ (Boeing), ACE (Pratt & Whitney), AFSO21 (USAF), R6ɖ (Raytheon), LM21 (Lockheed Martin). This course will introduce you to the fundamental Lean Six Sigma principles, practices and tools that underpin these programs and provide you a "hiring differentiator" on your resume. This course has been developed at the urging, and with the participation of, such organizations and has been delivered to over 1000 students nationwide. The curriculum is a 50-50 mix of lectures & hands on exercises, plus a plant tour to New Balance shoes in Lawrence, MA, & speakers from industry. Meets with 16.983.
