As part of the Addir Fellows Interfaith Dialogue Program, we are visiting a number of places of worship during IAP. Fri. 1/30 - meet at 10:45am inside the front doors (Amherst St.) of W11. We will visit the beautiful new Islamic Society of Boston Mosque in Roxbury for 1:00 prayer and a tour. Women, please wear long sleeves and skirts below the knee or pants.

As part of the essence of the Addir Fellows program, we will visit 5-6 places of worship in the latter part of IAP (see 1/30 and 2/1). On Fri. 1/23, we will meet 3:45 inside W11 and head to Brookline to attend 1) Young Israel (Orthodox) at 4:30 (please - an ID is needed, no cell phones on, no electronics, women-no slacks) and 2) Temple Beth Zion (Spiritual, Jewish Renewal, song-filled) at 6:00 followed by a kiddush (light meal). The synagogues are a short distance from each other). All are welcome but MUST RSVP to ora@mit.edu.

Chinese Yo-Yo

Come learn the Chinese yo-yo!

Participants of all skill levels (from never touching a yoyo to knowing lots of tricks) and cultural backgrounds are welcome.

Those who are interested may even be eligible to take part in future ATS performances such as the Lunar New Year Banquet!

Having roots from the 12th century, the Chinese yo-yo spins on a string connected by two sticks. Unlike its Western counterpart, the Chinese yo-yo is not connected to the string, allowing more complicated tricks to be performed.
