Hour long clinic focus on correct grip, basic technique and movement for players new to the sport. The rules of the game, ground strokes, volleys, serving and receiving, as well as tactical shots will be taught. Sequential - shot drills and conditioned games will be included at the end of each class, with round robin and mini-match play incorporated as time allows.

Learn the skills professional rescuers use to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies. This class includes instruction in rescue breathing, obstructed airway, CPR for adults, children, and infants. Two person CPR, bag-valve mask, and AED . Class fee includes the participant manual and pcket mask. After successful completion of this course, participants will receive an American Red Cross CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification that is valid for one year.

Hula hooping, the fun activity that many of us enjoyed as children, is making a resurgence as a dance form and an aerobic fitness routine for adults. Using home made hoops that are significantly larger and heavier than children's hoops, adults can now enjoy the rhythmic flow of this emerging art form. In this workshop, the class will learn the basics of waist hooping, explore movement while hooping, and a plethora of tricks. Transitions from one movement to another will be explored and individuals will develop their own style.

The lifeguard training course will train participants in lifeguard skills and knowledge to prevent and respond to aquatic emergencies. Upon successful completion of this course, participants will receive the Lifeguard Training and First Aid certificates which are valid for three years. Participants will also receive CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer which is valid for one year. Participants must be 15 years old on or before the last day of the class. Participants must also pass a series of pre-requisites. The pre-requisites include a 300 yard swim, treading water, and picking a dive brick up off the bottom of the pool. Refunds will not be given to those who fail the pre-requisites.

This workshop is a great introduction to the Nia technique, a fusion fitness form that draws from a variety of dance arts, martial arts, and healing arts (including Yoga). Nia helps reduce stress and increases grace, flexibility, strength, mobility, agility, and endurance. The goal of Nia is to increase the pleasure of living in your body. Nia is practiced by all body types and fitness levels and encourages you to listen to and honor your own unique body. This class will improve your style of skating, and you will learn a variety of figure skating moves, including forward and backward edges, mohawk and three turns,spirals, lunges, spins, and a variety of jumps (bunny hops, waltz jumps, toe-loops, mazurkas, salchows, etc.). You must have figure skates (hockey skates are unsuitable for this class). Rentals are available at the rink.

This class teaches the basic techniques and fundamentals of kicking and punching; half cardiovascular exercises and half interval training. Class focuses on dynamic movement, isolated limbic movement, muscle strengthening, overall conditioning, agility and reaction, stretching, sit-ups, and push-ups for a high intensity fast paced workout. No previous experience necessary; for both men and women.

PE Pistol - Beginner Class

Lessons on gun safety, range orientation, and shooting technique comprise the first four classes, which continues throughout the course, and shooting technique get refined. Shooting starts with a two-handed hold and progresses to one-handed. Target scoring is taught, and the course concludes with a fired match for score.

Continued emphasis on handgun safety, and one-handed shooting is refined, and rules, timing, and technique are studied. Students are introduced to three cources of fire: Gallery match course, standard pistol and sport pistal. After each course of fire trained, a match in that course is fired and scored. Course concludes with a fired match.

PE Salsa Dance Class

Salsa has its roots in the Caribbean, as well as Latin and North America. It is a fusion of a variety of dances and is similar to the Mambo, Cha Cha and Rumba. In this class students will learn about salsa music, the proper dance position, footwork, how to dance with a partner and a variety of popular figures.

PE Self Defense for Everyone Class

This art developed in Brazil from a variety of African sources N'golo from Angola, rhythms from Congo, and acrobats from Guinea combined to form a martial art disguised as a dance and played like a game.
