No limit but advance sign up required (see contact below)
Signup by: 15-Jan-2010
Single session event

In 2011, MIT will commemorate its 150th anniversary in celebrations that will be groundbreaking, participatory and focused on communicating the distinctive values of the Institute to the wider community. The MIT Museum is "co-creating" an exhibition with the MIT community that features 150 compelling artifacts. (Check out website below to see objects already nominated and which ones are getting the most votes!) You are invited to participate in a special design workshop to help develop the exhibition themes and content. Similar workshops were held for alumni and staff last spring & fall. These sessions generated great ideas and were a lot of fun. We now are inviting students (but all are welcome) to join in!
Come share your favorite MIT stories and help make the exhibition! Refreshments will be provided.

Marvel Comics outed its first gay superhero Northstar in 1992—and waited 12 years to let him have a relationship. On January 13th, Marvel releases NATION X #2 in which story writer/artist Tim Fish presents this watershed moment in LGBT comics history. Join Tim Fish as he moderates a discussion of Northstar and LGBT comics from around the world. Tim Fish also works at MIT, and has produced comics for BAY WINDOWS, DOM magazine, and Marvel Comics. He has been published in French, Italian, and Portuguese; he has spoken on topic of comics domestically, as well as in Paris, Stockholm, and Berlin.
