This course is designed for the individual who is hesitant and uncomfortable in water. It will provide support, guidance, and patience to help you to overcome your fear and truly enjoy the water. We will work on how to move safely through the water, how to submerge our heads under the water, how to gently drift into a floating position, and how to move from a horizontal float to a standing position. The class will have a maximum of 5 participants to ensure safety and comfort. Pre-requisite: Needs to be willing to stand in 4 feet of water and get face wet.

This art developed in Brazil from a variety of African sources N'golo from Angola, rhythms from Congo, and acrobats from Guinea combined to form a martial art disguised as a dance and played like a game. This course combines various massage techniques, with a cursory view of anatomy & physiology, theory and application of therapeutic massage. As is the nature of massage, this course is experiential and the material will be presented in lecture-demonstration, discussion, and hands-on participation. It provides guidelines for your exploration of the body-mind connection. Learning how to give and receive a good massage is an art and a science. It develops the art of trusting one’s intuition and deepening one’s knowledge from concept to wisdom. It is the practical application of internalizing the sciences of anatomy and physiology. Fencing - Sabre
Class includes instruction in the basic fundamentals of fencing using the “cutting” weapon which is stiffer than the light foil, including footwork, attacks and parries. After learning the rules, including scoring, students will participate in competitive bouts.

This class will improve your style of skating, and you will learn a variety of figure skating moves, including forward and backward edges, mohawk and three turns,spirals, lunges, spins, and a variety of jumps (bunny hops, waltz jumps, toe-loops, mazurkas, salchows, etc.). You must have figure skates (hockey skates are unsuitable for this class). Rentals are available at the rink.

This class teaches the basic techniques and fundamentals of kicking and punching; half cardiovascular exercises and half interval training. Class focuses on dynamic movement, isolated limbic movement, muscle strengthening, overall conditioning, agility and reaction, stretching, sit-ups, and push-ups for a high intensity fast paced workout. No previous experience necessary; for both men and women.

Continued emphasis on handgun safety, and one-handed shooting is refined, and rules, timing, and technique are studied. Students are introduced to three courses of fire: Gallery match course, standard pistol and sport pistal. After each course of fire trained, a match in that course is fired and scored. Course concludes with a fired match.

This program is designed for the adult swimmer who wants to gain swimming endurance. This program will help prepare swimmers for either a Masters Swim Program or for the use of lap swimming as a form of aerobic exercise. Pre-requisite: Students should know the front crawl, backstroke, and breaststroke prior to taking this class and be able to swim 500 yards continuously.
