Prereq: Knowing how to swim.

Underwater hockey (UWH) is a fun and fast water sport, it is unlike anything else you have ever played. UWH is played at the bottom of a swimming pool: you have to go down and hold your breath. It is played with a short stick that is used to push and shoot a heavy puck. Each team has 6 players.

The course has four sessions. People who attend multiple sessions will get new challenging material. For first time attendants, regardless of when you come, you will get a full basic crash course of introduction to the game together with other first time attendants after which you are invited to participate with everybody else.

You will learn:

-apnea (freediving) skills

-to get comfortable underwater
-to improve how long you can stay underwater

-snorkeling skills (if needed)

-swimming with fins

-breathing skills
-clearing a mask

-stick and puck handling skills

-swimming position with puck
-agility skills with the puck
-passing (sliding and shooting the puck)

-playing a game of underwater hockey

-explained of all the basic rules
-team tactics

Feel free to drop by! You will have a good time!
