Participants requested to attend all sessions (non-series)
Prereq: Basic Bike Mechanics or extensive bike mechanic skills
This course is intended for people with significant experience in maintaining their bikes and want to further their knowledge, and learn techniques in a more formal setting than “looking over a friend’s shoulder”.
Topics will include many of the following:
- Cable maintenance and installation - Chain installation-new & replacement - Headstay maintenance and dis assembly - Cutting a steerer tube - Shifter/Brifter installation - Bar taping - Bottom bracket maintenance and dis assembly - Front and rear derailleur maintenance and dis assembly - Emergency derailleur repair
Attendees are expected to bring their own bike and appropriate tools for the tasks above.
Some specialty tools will be available.
