IAP 2011 Activity

Supporting GLBT Rights in Uganda
Abigail Francis
Thu Jan 13, 06:30-08:00pm, W11 Main Dining Room

No enrollment limit, no advance sign up
Single session event

Join us for a presentation by our speaker who is a Ugandan lesbian and one of the pioneers of the LGBT movement in Uganda. She is pursuing a master’s degree in theology at the Episcopal Divinity School, and her name and picture appeared in the 5-page exposure of what the newspaper’s editor said was done “out of public interest.” A discussion will follow about the struggle for GLBT rights in Uganda, focusing on recent events. The purpose of the event is to raise awareness of the situation, and to determine what might be done to help those being oppressed.
