Prereq: None
Students will learn basic mill and lathe operations as well as other machine shop practices. The class project will be to make a small AA flashlight out of round and square aluminum stock. Machining operations include, drilling, milling, turning, knurling, band sawing, and thread cutting. Preference will be given to those preregistered for 3.042 in the spring.
