Film Description: The Promised Land for the Jews, the Holy Land to Christians, and the Land of the Prophets to the Muslim world.
Explore for the first time in IMAX this crossroads of civilization and faith. Jerusalem is an historic media initiative that comprises a spectacular giant screen film and a multi-year, multi component public education programme.
The film will convey the story of Jerusalem in all its beauty and diversity, illuminating global public opinion and understanding about Jerusalem on a vast scale. We seek to present an exceptional vision of Jerusalem – as a city of universal historical, spiritual, cultural and archaeological importance – and to promote, with unprecedented impact, tolerance and goodwill between Jews, Christians and Muslims.

The MIT Hummus Experience began in 2008 and has grown every year since then. It might be the health trend or just pure curiosity which brings hundreds of people to the “Hummus Taste Off,” a competition where professors and students get to rank different hummus brands and student creations by aroma, taste and texture. The “Hummus Taste Off” is the culmination for a month of “hummus experiences”. During IAP, we will again have a number of hummus-based events, as the Hummus Experience reflects the fun and exploratory spirit of MIT’s intersession. All we are saying is "Give chickpeas a Chance."

Workshop participants will learn the secrets of making hummus from George Kirby '79, who is well-known in greater Boston for his delicious homemade dips. This is a hands-on workshop with take-away results. Bonus - Spice it up by preparing an exotic Yemenite hot sauce (Zhug).
Sign up is not required, though space is limited to the room capacity so show up early!
