We provide several levels of instruction ranging from basic stroking to more advanced jumps and spins. Improve your skating and learn new moves and jumps in a friendly and encouraging atmosphere - for free! Freestyle lessons are from 9:30 a.m. to 10 a.m., and Ice Dance lessons are from 10:15 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. You don't need a partner and you don't need to know anything about ice dancing to take ice dance lessons. Beginners are welcome! There will be a group lesson for those who have never skated before from 10am - 10:45am.
This activity is open to members of the MIT community who are eligible to participate in club sports (see http://clubsports.mit.edu/about/eligibility/)
Lessons will start promptly at 9:30am. You are encouraged to come earlier to get your skates on and warm up. Please be on the ice on your skates by 9:30am.
Figure skates must be worn. Rental skates will be avaialble for $5/session. For those renting skates, you should plan to arrive no later than 9:15am.
