Richard C. Maclaurin Lodge, MIT's Masonic Lodge, will be installing its officers this evening in ceremonies open to all. This installation is parallel to the ritual used in closed meetings, and will explain much of the symbolism in a Masonic Lodge. Following the formal meeting, sandwiches, dessert and informal discussion with the members will be held in the dining hall. There will also be opportunity to view the many Masonic artifacts on display, and learn how Masonry has contributed to the history of Cambridge. The program will take place at the Cambridge Masonic Building, 1950 Massachusetts Ave., Porter Square. A short walk from the Red Line.
