Chainmail Workshop

Chainmail is a flexible fabric constructed of linked metal rings, used since ancient times as a form of armor. Learn how to make chainmail. All tools and materials will be supplied; however, please bring needle-nose pliers if you have them.

Elizabethan Garb Workshop

Prereq: some sewing experience
Fee: 30.00 for fabric cost
Create an Elizabethan doublet, and learn how to make a skirt or slops (knickers, pants). On 1/14 we'll go fabric-shopping (fabric will be < $30), and on 1/16 we'll actually construct the clothing. Please e-mail if you're coming, so we know to expect you.

We'll take Public Transportation to the garment district and help you select period fabrics for your clothing. Fabric costs will be less than $30 for cotton; more for other materials.

Come make a leather pouch! Using standard leatherworking tools, we will be constructing a period (c. 1000-1600 A.D.) leather pouch. Enrollment is limited. Please note that a Finboard allocation has lowered the price of materials; additionally, the deadline has been extended for sign-up and there are still a number of seats available.
