- Share your experience and expertise
Students can become resources and collaborators for each other.
Alumni experiences in the field can transform and enrich student understanding.
Staff and faculty can share their connections and strategies.
- Contribute
In order to grow in their understanding and international development experience,
students may need to go abroad. However, funds for those projects are limited.
- Tell us
Tell us about possible projects and opportunities!
If you know of an international development need that you think MIT staff or students
can help to address, please drop us a note. Many MIT students are involved in
projects in developing regions, and many more are seeking projects that enable
them to apply their knowledge and skills to help people in communities worldwide.
- Explore employment opportunities
In the section about how to get involved, you will find a good list of organizations that we know about... and we hope that you will help us to add to this list, for everyone's benefit. Explore around, and let us know what you find: idn-contact@mit.edu
Sometimes, connections to international development are part of the name; sometimes,
good resources are so familiar that we might overlook them. For example, the
MIT Careers Office
has some interesting possibilities and advice.
Some websites have useful ideas and resources, such as these:

- Ask for more information
The MIT Public Service Center has some resources available for supporting international
development. If you have an idea, please don't hesitate to come in and talk it over
with one of the staff.
You can reach the Public Service Center on the web
at http://web.mit.edu/mitpsc/,
or stop by 4-104, phone us at 617 253-0742 or
email psc@mit.edu. If we
can't help, we may be able to suggest someone who can.
