The Annual International Development Fair
MIT's Annual International Development Fair (IDF) is an event designed to showcase the many
groups, projects and activities at MIT that provide students with an opportunity to work on issues
related to international development. The Fair brings students and organizations together,
to promote awareness and encourage the exchange of ideas. The 6th Annual International Development Fair will take place on Friday, October 5 from 1pm -3pm in Lobby 13. Click here to see the 2006 Guide.
The Fair is traditionally held each year in late September or early October and provides
incoming and continuing MIT students the opportunity to learn about ways that they can become
engaged in international development through student groups, non-profit organizations, or academic course offerings in and around
MIT campus. Groups and organizations of all types set up booths to display
their development projects and enlist the interested students who pass through the fair grounds.
The annual Fair is organized by the MIT International Development Network (IDN)
(available here), a community network developed to
promote and share information about activities, programs, events and formal academic
offerings related to International Development. The Fair is also the flagship event of
MIT's International Development Week
Here, you will be able to register for the IDF and its associated dinner. Also, you can submit project information
to our International Development Week showcase event. To learn more about the IDN, use any of the links at left.
This year's 5th Annual IDF was a success! Please check this website throughout the summer for more information or contact weinmann@mit.edu. Click here to view the list of 2006 participants
