I'm Ike Feitler, a Technical Instructor and Laboratory Manager in MIT's Department of Materials Science and Engineering. I manage the Laboratory for Physical Metallurgy, a facility spread across a few laboratory rooms that includes furnaces, hydraulic presses, Instron machines, metallographic equipment, and some fume hoods. I also help teach 3.042, and help out in the Lab for Engineering Materials

I enjoy making and giving away Bismuth crystals as a sort of informal science demonstration. I like to ride my cargo bike and other bicycles.
