Institute Dining Review to Visit Student Residences
The Review, which has been charged with creating a new overrall system for campus dining, will soon visit MIT residences to learn what peoples' dining needs are. The schedule for these open meetings is attached.
Current Writing Requirement May Be Replaced
The current writing requirement may be replaced by a new program in which students will take a writing class or seminar every year. See the article for more on this proposed change.
Aramark's Food Service Contract Has Not Been Extended
The decision on whether to extend the contract probably will not be made until January; the current schedule is to bid for new food service contracts during the Spring Semester. More information about this below.
New Procedure for Alums to Get an MIT Card Implemented
Alums now need to send mail to the Alumni Office to apply for a card.

We propose two programs: (1) A 12-unit IAP class to teach students leadership and managerial skills such as strategic planning, negotiation, and communications skills.
